Praise bands for youth and high school age, orchestra, youth orchestra

Youth Praise Bands – Consists of 6th – 12th grade youth who sing, and play guitars, electric bass, drums and other rock band instruments. The kids learn how to play together and they regularly rehearse, learning new praise and worship music. They also play during worship before and after confirmation and at special gatherings like the Lighthouse and the VBS Faire.

High School Praise Band – This group of 9th – 12th grade youth rehearses regularly practicing new praise and worship music. These youth also help pick the music and sometimes the older youth lead the band. The students develop an appreciation for worship music, as well as develop leadership skills such as communication, discipline and independent thinking.  This group meets on Tuesday evenings from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Middle School Praise Band – This group of 6th – 8th grade youth rehearses regularly learning and practicing praise and worship music. This group learns the basics of music performance such as listening, tuning, intonation, balance, blend and dynamics. The skills developed here are preparing them for the high school praise band.
