“Moses and Pharoah”
At FaithWalk we are doing a 9 week study of the Old Testament. Today’s lesson is about Moses and can be found in Exodus 1-15. According to our curriculum, “Here We Stand”, the goal for this story is to show that God’s strength is through deliverance, not domination.
Students ask your parents the following questions and record their answers:
Today’s story is about how God led Moses. Moses escaped death as an infant when his Hebrew mother put him in a basket and the Egyptian Pharaoh’s daughter rescued him. He grew up in luxury in Pharaoh’s palace. God called him through a burning bush. As an adult, Moses identifies with the Hebrew people, his people who are slaves in Egypt. God used Moses to lead them from slavery to a new land.
1. In this lesson we talked about God’s strength is through deliverance and Pharaoh’s strength is through domination. What is the difference between the two words?
2. What are things people need to be delivered from in our world today?
3. What are ways we can help people in need instead of being dominate over them?
