The Family Connection
At FaithWalk we are in week 8 of a 10 week study of the New Testament. Today’s lesson is the story of the call of Saul. This Bible story can be found in Acts 7:58-8:1, 9:1-30. According to our curriculum, “Here We Stand”, the goal for this lesson is for the learners to discover that the great evangelist, Paul, worked to destroy Jesus' followers before seeing the light and joining them. Jesus can make evangelists out of enemies.
The Call of Saul
Students, ask your parents the following questions and record their answers:
1. Have you ever known someone who changed completely? Did you believe them?
2. Sometimes we make fun of a certain group of people. Saul made fun of Christians before he became a follower of Christ? What can we do to make sure we don’t fall into the trap of making fun of someone because they of a relationship they have with a certain group of people (ie Iraqi, Muslim, overweight, mentally challenged?
3. Why do you follow Christ?

Prayer: Dear Lord God, you always want what is best for us. Even when things look dark and uphill, you are working in ways that we do not even know about. Just like Saul you want us to always listen and trust in you. Help us see the good in others and be a champion for you. We love you. Amen
